Buyer's Agreement

Following are those premises, which Buyer must sign in order to accuire one or more pups. The buyer's Agreement must be considered as a legally binding document. Signing the Buyer's Agreement is the condition for a successful transaction.

The Buyers Agreement is for protection of the rats - not the humans.

Paragraph 1 may variate depending on the buy.

§1A Non-breeding contract
  The pup is sold on a non-breeding contract which means the buyer must not use the rat for breeding.
§1A.1 Should buyer against the Buyer's Agreement breed on the rat, suncritters envokes the right to collect the rat and litter.
§1A.2 Buyer may cancel the non-breeding contract by contacting suncritters. In this case a new contract must be issued and signed with a new status. Breeding before this act is considered violence against §1A.
§1A.3 Oral agreement with suncritters is not considered legal, and breeding will be considered as a violence against §1A.
   
§1B Breeding contract
  The pup is sold with a Breeding Contract which means buyer may use the rat in breeding as long as the following conditions are met:
§1B.1 Breeding may only occur if this is done sensibly. This means, it is required to use the Guidelines for Breeding as a minimum, which suncritters have agreed on. Continued breeding on generations after the bought rat is outside suncritters' jurisdiction.
§1B.2 suncritters must be informed of born litters. This must be done with similair data as required in the studbook. Pedigree number is not requierd, but there must appear a unique identifier for each pup.
§1B.3 Should buyer against all expectations not submit to §1B and/or subparapgraphs entitles suncritters to retrieve the rat and litter.
   
§2 1 Year Evaluation
  Buyer must commit to fill in and return the 1 Year Evaluation, which will be released in electronic form approximatly 12 months after the birth of the pup. A request for a printed form may be issued at the buy or at the arrival of the 1 Year Evaluation, which will be sent by mail.
  The Buyer has 14 days from the release date to fill in and return the evaluation. It may be returned either electronically or by mail at the supporting address
§2.1 Buyer commits to ensure a correct contact address is registered until the 1 Year Evaluation has taken place.
§2.2 If the Buyer has requested a printed formular, but comitted a wrong address, the original release date will be used.
   
§3 Release of rat
  Should Buyer get in a position where the rat no longer may be kept, suncritters must be contacted for rehoming. suncritters will always be the primary recipient.
§3.1 If Buyer has found a new home, suncritters must be contacted and informed of the new recipient. The recipient must agree on a renewal of the Buyer's Agreement. suncritters may oppose secundary rehoming, and can collect the rat and possibly litter from new home.
   
§4 Fail to fulfill the rat
  If suncritters discover neglect of the rat, suncritters has the right to collect the rat without return of compensation. Neglect is considered as: Buyer avoids vet visits and/or medical treatment at serious illness; caging below laboratory standards; direct animal abuse and general neglect of the rat.
§4.1 If the rat is collected due to neglect, Buyer will be liable for following vet bills.

In any case where the Buyer's Agreement is not fulfilled, suncritters may choose to issue a lawsuit against Buyer.
